At Slate & Honey, we specialize in luxury catering experiences that go beyond the ordinary. From intimate gatherings to large celebrations, our grazing tables, charcuterie cups, boxes, and custom platters are designed to impress, spark conversation, and leave a lasting impression on your guests.

How It Works

Our Charcuterie Boards, Veggie Platters, Fruit Platters, and Caviar Platters Process

We make it easy to bring beautiful boards and platters to your celebration. Here’s what to expect:

1. Place Your Order

Full payment is required at the time of purchase to secure your order.

2. Timing & Notice

We ask for a minimum of one week’s notice for all boards, platters, and caviar orders. Need it sooner? We’ll do our best to accommodate — just reach out!

3. Select Pickup or Delivery

When placing your order, you’ll choose:

Pickup – from our commercial kitchen at 1539 5th Ave S., South St. Paul at your preferred date and time
Delivery – available for an additional fee (see delivery policy for details)

Our Grazing Table Process

We make it simple to bring a show-stopping grazing table to your event. Here’s what to expect from start to finish:

1. Reserve Your Date

A 50% deposit is required to secure your event date. Once your deposit is received, your date is officially reserved.

2. Finalize the Details (30 Days Out)

Around 30 days before your event, we’ll schedule a quick call to confirm:

Menu selections & any special requests
Event setup details (tables, layout, timing)
Add-ons such as florals, risers, or an on-site attendant

3. Final Payment (14 Days Out)

Your remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your event date.

4. Event Day Setup

Our team will arrive and set up your grazing table. We typically need 1–2 hours, depending on guest count and table size.

5. Service & Restock (Optional)

If you opt for an on-site attendant, they will:

Stay for the agreed-upon time
Help serve guests
Restock the table as needed
Complete cleanup at the end of service so you don’t have to lift a finger

6. Cleanup (Without Attendant)

If you choose not to have an attendant, our team will leave after initial setup and return at a pre-scheduled time (typically 2–4 hours later) to clean up.

7. Cups & Boxes Orders

If you order charcuterie cups or boxes, they will be beautifully arranged on a client-provided table. Linen/tablecloths are not provided with this service. Please note: Setup is included, but no cleanup is provided for cups and boxes.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes! Slate & Honey is fully licensed and insured, and our team is Food Manager Certified. All products are prepared and processed in our commercial kitchen located in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

How do you handle setup for grazing tables?

We arrive early to style and assemble your grazing table. Each table is thoughtfully layered with height, texture, and visual appeal to ensure a stunning presentation.

What’s included in the display materials?

All grazing tables include premium display materials such as wooden boards, risers, greenery, florals, serving vessels, cheese knives, tongs, and labels — all styled to match your event theme.

Do you provide plates and utensils?

Yes. Each package includes disposable, eco-friendly serveware such as plates, napkins, and utensils so guests can enjoy with ease. Upgraded serveware options are available upon request.

Are the meats and cheeses labeled?

Absolutely. We provide custom signage and labels for all meats, cheeses, and allergens to help guests navigate the table confidently and safely.

Can you include custom florals?

Yes. Custom florals are available for an additional fee and can be tailored to your event’s theme or color palette.

Do you offer an on-site attendant?

Yes. You may choose to have an on-site attendant available during your event to restock, serve, and assist guests throughout the experience.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?

Yes. Select products, such as charcuterie boards and platters, are available for pick-up from our Saint Paul commercial kitchen. Please contact us to confirm availability and pickup times.

Is there a setup fee?

Yes. A setup fee applies to all orders — $100 for grazing tables, $100 for mobile charcuterie cart and $50 for boxes or cups.
